A video is going viral on social media in which Mumbai Indians player Rohit Sharma could be seen turning bus driver for his teammates. Amid a huge cheer from the fans, Rohit sat in the driver’s seat of MI’s team bus and then asked the crowd to move away from the front side of the bus as he posed to drive it. Fans went bonkers to see Rohit in the new role as they cheered with all their might for the former Mumbai Indians captain.

It is worth noting that Rohit Sharma is no more the captain of Mumbai Indians, leaving the role for Hardik Pandya this year. MI traded Hardik from Gujarat Titans before naming him as the captain for IPL 2024.

Rohit has provided a good support to Hardik on the ground with his experience of leading the side. Mumbai Indians started their IPL 2024 campaign under Hardik’s leadership with three consecutive losses but then registered two wins on trot to bounce back.

Rohit, who will turn 37 later this month, revealed that he wants to play for some years for the Indian cricket team.

“I am playing well at the moment and I am thinking of continuing for a few more years. I really want to win that World Cup. The 50-over World Cup is the actual World Cup. We have grown up watching the 50-over World Cup. There is the World Test Championship final happening at Lord’s in 2025. Hopefully, we will make it there,” Rohit said in a YouTube chat show – Breakfast With Champions – that was also attended by British pop singer Ed Sheeran.

India put up a splendid show in the Cricket World Cup 2023 at home, remaining unbeaten for 10 game, before losing to Australia in the final match of the tournament.

“It was happening in India. We played well until that final. When we won the semis, I thought, we were just one step away from it (victory). I thought, what’s that one thing that can make us lose that final, and honestly, nothing came to my mind,” said Rohit.
